3D Printer filament rewinder

Description

Totally frustrating when you printer filament gets tangled. And the problem is how to rewind it just in case any more tangles further through the roll.

Here you have the 3D filament rewinder which can solve the problem.

The kit comprises of:-

1 x Winding reel

1 x Spindle

2 x End caps

2 x Lock nuts

To assemble place the end cap into reel, only goes one way as the spindle has a square neck, fits inside reel. Place end cap onto spindle to slot into reel. Place first nut to cap and tighten then place second nut to first nut, acts as a locking nut so all is tight.

You will need to use this kit a cordless drill to hold the rewinding reel, place the spindle in the chuck and tighten. You will also need a rolling cradle to hang the tangled reel onto and moves freely.

Now tape the filament needing rewinding to the empty reel, tape filament to the side so you get a straight and uniformed wind. When guiding the filament onto the reel keep the lines tight to each other, use a rubber glove as guiding the filament through your fingers may burn with friction. With a variable speed drill you have control on the speed you want to rewind the filament.

In tests i was able to rewind a whole 1KG reel in 20 minutes, just practice.
